Hello all, I am currently in the process of putting together a proposal for my institution to move from utilizing a 3 bag NAC protocol to a 2 bag. I wanted to see if anyone had experience going through a similar transition and what were some of the hurdles you may have come up against. I’m trying to make this as smooth of a process as possible so some insight and advice would be much appreciated

Hey Jareth,
Our hospital did this a couple years ago but it was driven more by our local poison center (MN) vs our hospital. The biggest things we had to adjust for were updating our infusion pumps and including max weight recommendations. We have one site in Wisconsin who is still on the 3 bag regimen so our pumps have them select which state they are in.
