Introduction & Mission
The Society of Emergency Medicine Pharmacists (SEMP) is the premier professional organization dedicated to pharmacists practicing in emergency departments and urgent care settings. Our mission is to optimize medication management in high-acuity environments through education, research, and advocacy.
SEMP is seeking a strategic partner to serve as our primary Continuing Education (CE) Provider. The ideal partner will provide the technical infrastructure and administrative support necessary to deliver high-level, ACPE-accredited clinical content to our membership of clinical specialists, residents, and board-certified pharmacists.

Scope of Services
The selected provider will facilitate a comprehensive educational program tailored to the needs of the EM pharmacist.
Accreditation & BCEMP Support
- ACPE Accreditation: Must be an ACPE-accredited provider in good standing.
- BPS Alignment: Preference for providers capable of facilitating BCEMP recertification credits.
Content Focus Areas
Reflecting the high-acuity nature of EM practice, including:
- Resuscitation (ACLS/PALS/BLS updates)
- Toxicology & Envenomation
- Trauma & Critical Care pharmacotherapy
- RSI and Sedation
- Neurological Emergencies
- Disaster Preparedness
Delivery Format
- Live Education: Monthly webinars and/or live streaming of symposia.
- On-Demand Library: Mobile-friendly LMS for asynchronous learning.
- Interactive Learning: Case-based assessments and application modules.
Platform & Admin
- Member Integration: SSO integration with SEMP database preferred.
- CPE Monitor®: Automated credit transmission.
- Reporting: Monthly reports on engagement and completion.
Submission Requirements
Proposals must include the following:
- Provider Profile: History of work with clinical specialty organizations and accreditation status.
- Clinical Portfolio: Examples of previous EM or Critical Care content.
- Proposed Pricing:
- Annual management/licensing fees
- Per-user or per-credit pricing tiers
- Fees for joint-providership of SEMP content
Evaluation Criteria
SEMP will evaluate proposals based on the following:
Ability to deliver "advanced practice" content.
Intuitive UI and seamless reporting.
Proven track record with BPS/BCEMP.
Competitive pricing tailored to a professional society's budget.
