Activity Description

This continuing education activity explores the pharmacology, clinical presentation, and management of withdrawal syndromes associated with emerging substances of abuse. The presentation covers kratom, xylazine, medetomidine, and phenibut — substances increasingly encountered in emergency departments nationwide. Through evidence-based analysis of the available literature, participants will gain practical knowledge for identifying and treating these unique withdrawal presentations.
