Activity Description

This continuing education activity features three case-based presentations from emergency medicine pharmacists and residents covering pseudo-pulseless electrical activity (pseudo-PEA) and the role of point-of-care ultrasound in cardiac arrest, medication misadventures in opioid withdrawal management with a focus on buprenorphine pharmacokinetics, and mercury toxicity from skin lightening cream exposure. Each case emphasizes critical thinking, evidence-based decision making, and practical clinical pearls for emergency medicine pharmacists.
